The Dayton Family Law Center is a fully staffed nonprofit law firm dedicated to serving the legal needs of the local community. The staff of the law firm is made up of two attorneys: Connie Klayko and Michael Smith. Our support staff includes two paralegals, Maria Harris and Cynthia Shelton, plus various law student interns and paralegal student interns, and dedicated volunteers.
The firm’s Executive Director is Connie Klayko, Esq. She received her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law where she was recognized for her Pro Bono commitment to the community. She also earned her MBA from Capital University. Ms. Klayko is committed to helping families with legal issues. She has experience dealing with juvenile issues such as custody, delinquency, dependency, visitation rights, and guardianships.
Associate Attorney, Michael Smith, Esq., who is originally from Buffalo, NY received his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law where he as recognized for his Pro Bono commitment to the community. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY Oswego. Mr. Smith is also committed to helping families with legal issues. Prior to coming to the Dayton Family Law Center, he interned at Legal Aid.
Maria Harris and Cynthia Shelton are both graduates of Sinclair Community College with a degree in paralegal studies.
The Board of Directors for the Dayton Family Law Center includes local attorneys who practice family law and who have a passion in serving the local community.
